About
Tearmainn is an archaic Gaelic word meaning sanctuary, church, or sacred space. House Tearmainn is a pan-sexual Massachusetts based leather household, working to provide that kind of space to like-minded leatherfolk. It is our core belief that BDSM can provide a safe and very necessary framework for meeting the needs of certain types of people, and that within that framework the individual can work harder, do more, and be more valuable to the world around them than they otherwise could. What we hold to be most important has been rolled into our core values.
The Household mission is to harness our shared resources and complimentary natures for the betterment of our family, our community, and those who need our help.
House Tearmainn is headed myself, Brian, a pan-sexual dominant male with a history of biting off more than I can chew. I have three children, one slave, a fairly demanding day job, and two totems. I am, among other things, adopted, a writer, a survivor of childhood abuse, and I am focused on, well, writing this page at the moment.
My mission is to help all of my girls and boys fulfill their missions by providing them firm guidance and a stable structure to work from, to strive to embody our core values, and to make my journeys a path of healing for myself and those who join me. Part of this is to share my thoughts, feelings, stories, and experiences in the hopes that they may help others, if only by entertaining (or upsetting) them.
My slave is pais, from the archaic Greek for “little one” (also “girl”, “boy”, and “slave”). She is pan-sexual, gender fluid, and much more perverted than she looks. She also comes from a history of abuse and clinical depression. I have owned her for over two years and loved her substantially longer.
Her mission is: “To please Master by working to help at-risk, disadvantaged and/or trauma-survivor children & families improve their lives.”
Our missions evolve over time, of course, and I hope that we will find the fortitude to keep both our written mission statements and this page up to date.
